About Brad

I began my yoga journey over 15 years ago while working a high-stress corporate job in Los Angeles. I had studied engineering at USC and was working in a demanding office environment—my body was tight, I was constantly stressed, and I knew something had to change. Yoga transformed my life—physically, mentally, and emotionally. The benefits were so profound that I left my career, traveled to Rishikesh, India—the birthplace of yoga—and dedicated myself to studying this practice at its source.

I completed my training at Shiva Yoga Peeth and Sattva Yoga Academy, earning my RYT-500 certification and studying postures, meditation, breathwork, and yoga philosophy extensively. I returned to the Bay Area with a clear mission: to help other professionals experience the same transformation I did.

Why I Specialize in Private Yoga for Professionals

I work primarily with mid-career professionals because I understand what you're going through. I've lived the cycle of chronic stress, physical tension, and knowing something needs to change but not having the bandwidth to figure out what. I know what it's like to sit at a desk for hours, carry tension in your shoulders and neck, and feel like you're running on empty.

This experience shapes how I teach. I don't approach yoga as purely physical exercise or purely spiritual practice—I integrate both. We work with your body's tension and pain while also addressing the mental patterns and stress responses that keep you stuck. I incorporate philosophy and breathwork when it's relevant to what you're experiencing, but always in practical terms that connect to your actual life.

Experience

I've been teaching for over 15 years in diverse settings—working privately with CEOs, Olympic athletes, attorneys, entrepreneurs, and corporate managers, as well as teaching in corporations, studios, recovery centers, and large-scale events like Burning Man where I've led classes for 100+ participants. This range of experience means I can adapt to any environment and work with people from all backgrounds.

As a RYT-500 certified instructor, I'm trained to work with injuries, chronic pain, and diverse populations. I've taught in medical settings, worked extensively with addiction recovery organizations, and supported clients through significant physical and mental health challenges. I'm fully insured and approach every session with professionalism, care, and attention to your specific needs.

Every session is customized to where you are that day—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Whether you're managing stress, addressing pain, building strength and flexibility, or simply trying to create space in your life to breathe, I meet you where you are and help you move forward.

My Approach

I believe yoga is most effective when it's consistent, personalized, and integrated into your actual life—not something you do once in a while when you have time. That's why I work with clients on a weekly basis through private instruction. This creates the consistency needed for lasting results and allows me to adapt the practice to your evolving needs.

I combine movement, breathwork, and meditation in every session, but the balance shifts based on what you need. Some days we focus more on physical tension and pain relief. Other days we emphasize breathwork for stress management or meditation for mental clarity. The practice is always responsive to your life, not a fixed routine you have to fit into.

I also believe in making yoga accessible. You don't need to be flexible, experienced, or have a calm mind to start. Flexibility, stress resilience, and mental clarity are what we build through practice—not prerequisites. All you need is a willingness to show up and work with where you are right now.

My yoga practice has shaped my entire way of living. I live in Oakland with the love of my life and our beautiful daughter, and when I'm not teaching, I'm mountain biking, surfing, skiing, or DJing at local events.  Yoga isn't about renouncing life or achieving perfection—it's about building practices that support the full, active, engaged life you want to live.
